2012 - Crazy Owl Memorial Day Weekend Retreat Celebrates 2nd Year - Nashvillians Head to Red Boiling Springs to Camp, Meditate, Move and Celebrate

April 22, 2012 – “Crazy Owl Memorial Day Weekend Retreat:  Community~Wellness~Meditation~Celebration” holds its event from May 25-28, 2012, at 300-acre Long Hungry Creek Farm in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. (located 70 miles from Nashville and 40 miles from Cookeville). The cost to attend is $50 per adult ticket until May 8th. Kids under 15 years of age attend for free. After May 8th, the price goes up to $65 per adult ticket. Price includes all 12 workshops, live music and a primitive campsite. Fitness workshops are friendly for all ages and fitness levels and include Ashtanga and Prana Flow Yoga, Zumba and Dances of Universal Peace, Tae Kwon Do, Goju-Shorei, Capeoira, small circle Ju Jitsu, Free Running and Natural Movement, and Hula Hooping. Educational workshops include “Nourishing Raw Food on the Fly” and “Why Fermentation? Kraut making philosophy and practice” and “Crazy Owl Memorial Herb Walk” and “Barefoot Farm tour”.

 

Event organizer, Amy Potter, describes, “Long Hungry Creek Farm is a beautiful 300-acre organic farm that features an amazing spring-fed creek, offering swimming holes and dipping spots. Vegetarian meals are prepared together potluck-style. Evening campfires welcome musicians to bring drums and other musical instruments. Attendees dance by firelight, fire-gaze, relax and rejuvenate. This event provides family fun and fitness for all ages.”
